About

Me

When I first started this blog back in 2012 I saw it as a vehicle for discussion about my work with people I would be reaching out to interact with. I saw myself as a frustrated weaver without the confidence to articulate my design aesthetic.

Now eight years on I am a, still shell shocked, homeowner with an ADHD diagnosis, to go with the dyslexia, who has a better understanding about how to communicate visually. The run on sentences may be incurable.

I think I am forever going to be hoping from Project to Project, but there has been increasing consistency in the last year or so. I might even have plans to bring my view of the world to a larger audience .

Hints to a likely state of mind: aka a biography (2012)

Everyone else in my immediate family went to art school. I chose to study Engineering. The further I get from the experience the more I realise how little of the art of engineering was actually passed on during the short time I was engaged in the profession.

After a few year of selling expensive anoraks to Sunday walkers I learnt to weave (graduating from Farnham in 2004). Fascinated by the questions of how the craft evolved I attempted at a very stressful time in my life a MA in Archaeology. Presently I’m casting around for an outlet for all my accumulated experience and attempting to organise my thoughts.

Be awesome to one another. Play nice. Don’t make me rout out a Mallet of Loving Correction and a List of Don’ts.
