Refurbishing Eden

So one of the many things i am working on is sorting out the house. Which means different furniture and trips to big box stores.

Which leads to little boxes, and littler boxes within them.

They might end up as some kinds of colourful wall construction or they might end up in the recycling with the rest of the cardboard.

Ill keep you posted

RIP Brian the cat

My helpful assistant of many blog posts took against the big snow we had here. His ashes were scattered in the wild bit across the road where he spent many happy hours ignoring the lure of the cat treats.

amongst the household the amount of minor injuries will plummet.

Four badly painted walls

Things are really hard at the moment, but I was really desperate to do something. Anything. I miss my shed. I haven’t been in it for a month and then two months before that. Don’t forget the shed.

These are reject stock printed canvases that I painted with gesso ages ago. For a while they’ve had a colleges mounted on them and have just been hanging around.

In a fit of deciding to do something about the heap my life is in at the moment I raided the end less cupboard of art for some inks.

Spontaneous art who’d of thunk it!

I’ve left these out side the shed and I might come back to them or might just attack the rest of the prepared canvases.

Time out…

Things are a bit hard at the moment, so although I’ve lots of stuff done and lots of stuff on going you’re getting a shed picture.
Yeah individual strawberry pavlova and strawberry tea just about sums it up. I’m okay really, just had a few things flagged up that are going to take a while to process.

The first few weeks of term I was busy with a commission (is it still a commission if you commission yourself?).

Now I can step back and work out what I want to do next.

– I’m not sure if the V&A are doing Inspired By any more so there’s no rush with the dragon pot but I still want to finish it

– There are always more Maps

– Or there is option C

Sometimes

Sometimes I know I get a bit over conscious of what every I’m trying to do. Over thinking things and what not. So while feeding my loom band habit I grabbed a £5 mega craft jar and decided to get stuck in. Read the rest of this entry »

Alternate career?

So if all the art and creative stuff doesn’t work out I think I can now get a job laying out car parks. We’ve demolished a shed and levelled the ground for a new base. Lots of shuffling around on hands and knees, and 850kg of pea shingle. When it stops raining we’ll start on the walls.
