All the succulents I purchased a few years ago are doing well. Some of the mammillaria flower every year, but this one I didn’t expect to flower until it was a lot bigger. What do I know?
Any way this flower stalk has appeared over the last few days. It’s either happy or desperate. If it manages to flower all the way I’ll update this.Then I might be able to identify it. Go here to see how much it’s grown from the original 1.5 inch pot.

Up date, (28 July)well I all ready tried to update this post once so I’m rapidly loosing interest here. I think the cactus is Echinopsis Subdenudata f Fuzzy Navel. Here are this weeks blooms. They are huge 8cm about the same size as the plant. The flower stalks are ~13cm. I think this chap was the worst off with an encounter with a ferocactus, not the one you can see next to it, and decided to go for it. I just sorry I don’t have the night flying pollinators it needs.
I think I’m going to have to rethink my storage facility when I repot some of these chaps, they are growing well.
